Upper Yellowstone River Representative Study Reach Maps
These are maps of selected "Representative Study Reach" segments along the Yellowstone River from Springdale to the confluence with the Missouri River in McKenzie County, ND. The maps were developed by the Montana Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to support a physical features inventory, and to aid the planning efforts of the Yellowstone River Conservation District Council.
Each Representative Study Reach map is a 36 x 24 inch, 1:18,000 scale, PDF document showing color infrared (CIR) photography from 2001 or 2002, the Reach boundaries, river mile markers, valley mile markers, and the physical features inventory data. An additional version of each map is available that shows Cadastral parcel ownership boundaries.
The index maps below show the approximate location of each Reach Map. You may download the maps by clicking on the Reach names on the index maps or by using the table below the index maps. The size of the maps range from 10 to 29 megabytes.
